Fort Lauderdale Youth Group was, once again, an entertaining night. We had some new faces as well as some old faces that I missed so much. Kishi, our adult advisor, started us with the group rules and declared the room a safe place. The weekly question of the week was prom related. It was: “How did you feel about prom? And if you did not go, why?” Now, I can talk about prom for years to come. However, I will sum it up to, It was the best night of my life!!
Our icebreaker this week was a game called Zip, Zap, Zoom LGBT. A, touchless, tagging game that involves quick speed and attention. How it is played is there are two groups. Within those groups one person will tag another, not touching, and say the letter “L.” The person tagged must respond the next letter quickly, without hesitating or repeating the same letter as before.
When there is only one person left on each team, those two compete against each other. Now the rules are the same as before, only now instead of just saying LGBT, “Q” & “A” are added in. It was a really interesting game that kept us on our toes.
The topic of the week, was also very interesting. “Have you ever had a crush on someone and you didn’t know how they felt about you?” Told you, very interesting. A lot of people had almost the same answer. Others made me think about when I was in that situation. We laughed and had a ball.
To wrap up the night, we had our announcements. I can NOT wait until next Tuesday’s group!
