Pizzatastic Youth Group- SunServe Youth Blog!

Last week’s group at Ft. Lauderdale was everything including pizzatastic! Kishi, our adult advisor, started us off by reading our rules. The question of the week was, “If you can move Spring Break to a different month, which month would it be?” Most people said they would leave it as it is. I, on the other hand, said I would move it to May- that way I would not have to go to school on my birthday, which is totally not fun. I think it would be awesome. At group there were people that we have not seen for a while, and new faces as well. Now why was last night a pizzatastic one? John, our youth manager, bought us…. you guessed it, Pizza! It was a wonderful night and such a great surprise to have pizza at the group. It shows how much the staff at SunServe care for us.

It was an open discussion group last night. That means we are open to talk about anything we want. However, nobody knew what to talk about! So for the rest of group, we played a game called “As the Big Wind Blows.” How the game is played, is that there is one person standing in the middle of the room. That person then says, As the big wind blows, then says something that they like to do, or have done. If anybody else has done or likes the same as that person, they have to get up and run to a new seat. Almost like musical chairs. For example, if the speaker says “The big wind blows if you’ve been to Walt Disney World.” At that time, everyone who has been there switches over to the other side of the room. It was a silly, laughing, overall good time. I can’t wait for the next one!
